Addon Domains
Addon Domains are used when you wish to add another unique website to your existing Linux Hosting (cPanel) service.
Please ensure that you have set your DNS correctly before following this article. If you are unsure of how to do this, please view this article:
Configuring a Domain (DNS) for Linux cPanel
When you create a domain as an addon domain, you do not need to add it to Parked Domains.
Creating Addon Domains
To create the Addon Domain, login to cPanel with the details provided. If you cannot login, please see the article:
Lost cPanel Password
Go to the section
Addon Domains
.
You will then see the following screen:
Fill in the following details:
New Domain Name
: Your Domain Name
Subdomain/FTP Username
: The username that will be used to FTP to this folder
Document Root
: The directory where the files for this domain name will be stored
Password
: Choose a Password that will be used for FTP to this domain name
Password (Again)
: Confirm the password entered above
Click
Add Domain
.
