Web Hosting - Linux: Google is showing my .myzen.co.uk address

Aim of this Article

This article describes how to tell search engines that your Linux cPanel address has changed. This allows the search result on Google to show  your domain name associated with cPanel instead of the c1234567.myzen.co.uk.

How to setup the Redirect

On the cPanel interface, go to Redirects

You should see the following screen:

In the First box, set the type to Permanent (301)

In the box underneath, choose your myzen.co.uk domain name.

Under redirects-to, enter the domain name on cPanel that you wish to redirect this to.

Select the box Wild Card Redirect.

Click Add.

This will then redirect your myzen.co.uk subdomain to your domain name. Google will pick up on this link next time it scans your site, and it should update it's link.
